SureStay by Best Western Williams

I enjoyed my stay at SureStay, Williams, CA. Very Clean room, excellent price, friendly staff, and I got to meet Anna, their feline receptionist. Such a people living staff memeber. See picture

Billy Joel sang, "Honesty is such a lonely word/Everyone is so untrue." Well, i am happy to say Billy was wrong about the folks who run this hotel. They were honest, and in today's world, THAT is rare and to be appreciated. I stayed there a couple weeks ago, and forgot my headphones in my room...headphones my wife gave me on my birthday. You could say they were sentimental or you could say I'm terrified of my wife's wrath, both true. In a panic, I called from the road 6 hours away and the gentleman who checked me in answered said he recognized my voice, said he'd check the room. This is where I got worried. I was 100% positive I left them there, but this - leaving my stuff - has happened before at other hotels. I'm a total airhead. And when I've highlighted the fact I left something worth $300 to other hotel staff, I've repeatedly gotten the soul-crushing and infuriating... "We didn't find it." All you KARMA believers...If you are okay with a great price for a decently clean room, a decent bed, no frills, but want to give your money to GOOD PEOPLE....please stay at this Hotel.

Room was clean and seemed newly furnished and great for the price which was low. Some food within walking distance. Lots of parking in the hotel and on the street in front of the property. No problem parking trucks or trailers. Located right off the freeway.

More value than the cost for sure. 2 of us for about $83 inc. taxes. $20 per pet. The first place we stopped, around the corner up the hill wanted $50 for a 14lb dog, and $75 for the 50lb dog! So we left and found this place down the street. Clean basic rooms, safe location. Good service. Waffles, juice, coffee, raisin toast, for breakfast included in the very reasonable rates. Heat worked great. Small fridge, microwave, and coffee in room. Mattress comfortable. Would stay here again.

But I would say the rooms need to be updated. The room we stayed in had cracks and missing flooring, the bathroom tile was pink and the grout really needs to be cleaned. The bed was pretty comfortable! This was much needed after driving 652 miles on 12/28/2025. I was pretty disappointed in the fact that we couldnt get a certain breakfast item. We were going to have this and about five or ten mins before the breakfast was done they start cleaning it up. I was looking for something to hold me over on 12/29/2025 since I still had another 548 miles to go.

I did see the other reviews after booking and was dubious, but I didn't need to worry. The room was clean, air was fresh, the mattresses looked fairly new, and everything was fine. It wasn't the fanciest place, but I wasn't expecting that. If you want a clean bed, a shower, and a quick breakfast, it's a good spot and very affordable.

I liked the price. The room was clean and comfortable. It is too light on the breakfast, but it's a SureStay.

Great location just off the exit. Room was clean and smelled fresh also the beds were super comfy. Great price too.
